TiPi Marquee Wedding

Following on from my love of cute vintage teepee tents for your photo shoots.... here's a trend that is popular in the UK that you might start seeing more of in Australia. It's TiPi marquees. These tipi style tents are inspired by those used by the Sami people in Lapland and are proving to be a big hit on the wedding scene. They are not only super-cute but also make for an exciting change to your everyday, run-of-the-mill marquee... plus there are so many options with them. The tipi tent can be used by either having the side panel down or raise them all for an open pavilion style soiree. And you're not limited with size either, choose just one tipi (which seats approximately 70 people) for an intimate occassiom or join two or more together so you can create a dance floor or a sexy seated chill-out area for breaks between partying. The options for styling are only limited by your imagination. Just imagine your guests surprise, and delight, when they arrive to see they will be celebrating your big day under a big tent !! Wow !!

If you are hosting a country wedding, why not set up a 'Tipi Village' for your guests who can't find vacancies in the local bed and breakfast hotels. Just make sure you have a packet of marshmellows in each tipi for toasting around the camp fire!! This would definitely be a wedding your guests would remember.

Melbourne company Tipikata is just days away from launching and has fabulous giant tipi tents available for hire. Have a look at their Facebook page, call 0402 203 309 or email info@tipikata.com.au. I can't wait to see some Aussie tipi weddings.
